Style X Adds Emerging Brands, Panelists, and Tech Partners to Roster
Style X just keeps getting bigger and better (as promised) with today's announcement that editors from GQ, Elle, NYLON, Huffington Post, Refinery29 and founders of Nice Kicks and StyleCaster are set to join its panel roster.
Fashion industry leaders like The Man Repeller, Marcus Troy and Grungy Gentleman were previously announced as guest panelists. They will now be joined by fashion PR star Crosby Noricks, Elle.com editorial director Keith Pollock, emerging designer Sarah Nami Ahn, and countless other industry leaders.
Style X Panels to Feature Emerging Fashion Brands, Bloggers and Musicians
What Goes Around Comes Around and Piper Gore to Zanerobe and Taylor & Stitch, we now know to expect of the top emerging brands at this year’s Style X. Today, the official fashion showcase of SXSW announced a slew of panelists sure to make this year’s event even bigger.
The Man Repeller, Grungy Gentleman, Marcus Troy and JFK Jean, some of the top emerging bloggers on style will be coming to Austin to speak on panels discussing menswear, street fashion and technology.
“Style X is truly a platform for finding and sharing insights from emerging brands and industry thought leaders, both new and established, on what’s next in style,” said Joah Spearman, co-founder and executive producer of the second-year event. “These panels, like the rest of Style X, are free and open to the public, offering a deep glimpse into the oft-exclusive world of fashion right here in Austin during SXSW Music.”
Style X Adds Top Emerging Brands from Australia, US
Style X, the official fashion showcase of SXSW, announced the addition of some of the world's top emerging brands to the 2012 event to be held on March 16-17. Charming Charlie, the fast-growing Houston-based company, will serve as the Official Fashion Accessories Partner.
Style X Back for SXSW 2012
Style X will be back for more action after a successful debut in 2011. In 2012, the event will feature double the designers, double the panels and even bigger runway shows which feature SXSW musicians as the models.
A major new segment of Style X will feature showrooms and collectives of emerging designers such as The Foundation, a showroom that represents streetwear brand Play Cloths, Super sunglasses, Urbanears headphones and Native shoes. Also showcasing will be the Durable Goods Concern, a collection of primarily San Francisco-based designers and labels such as ready-to-wear shirt maker Taylor Stitch. Additional emerging designers already confirmed to showcase at Style X in 2012 include handbag label Bryna, fashion accessories maker Hex, and innovative house wares manufacturer Museum of Robots.
