From the beginnings of SXSW, the Music Conference has sought out legendary artists and asked them to come to Austin to share their experience with musicians and music professionals. We're thrilled to present many artists' voices in 2010, none more central to the sound of rock and roll than James Burton. From Mr. Burton's solo on Dale Hawkins' "Suzie Q" to his work with Elvis Presley and many other greats, no guitar player can claim greater influence. Mr. Burton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 by Keith Richards.

In a special last minute addition, we're pleased to announce that Wanda Jackson will be joining Elvis at 75. The Queen of Rockabilly was a friend of Elvis and an amazing artist in her own right. Hits like "Fujiyama Mama" and "Let's Have a Party" established Jackson's career which continues to this day. Jackson has recently released a vinyl-only single produced by Jack White on his Third Man Records label.

Mr. Burton and Ms. Jackson will speak on the SXSW panel Elvis at 75 on Friday March 19 at 5pm in Room 12AB of the Austin Convention Center.
