NaCo Clothing Showcase at SXSW

The NaCo Clothing brand is something associated with all that is fresh and hip in Latin America, and that will only be further reinforced with their showcase as SXSW this year.

33712_0.jpgSystema Solar, a group that hails from the beach town of Taganga, Colombia, recycle the afro-Caribbean styles of their surroundings through their use of electronic tools to fuse them with contemporary styles of hip-hop and house, creating a soundtrack to an endless party.

96781_0.jpgSystema Solar will perform alongside artists as diverse as the retro-garage outfit Banda de Tursitas from Argentina and Chilean rapper Anita Tijoux, as well as Gustavo Galindo of Mexico. Also performing is El Gavachillo y Su Banda Lluvia de Estrellas, where Ozomatli’s Wil-Dog Abers gets together with Banda musicians from Sinaloa to get down on some Conjunto music for your listening pleasure. And what would a cutting edge Latin showcase be without Toy Selectah, a DJ and producer who is known for his ability to translate roots cumbia into club-driven remixes that represent a truly 21st Century sound? All these artists coming together will surely make for a not-to-be-missed showcase at Flamingo Cantina on Thursday!
