SXSW 2011 Auditorium Shores Stage Concert Series

jte_arnold_wells.jpgDon’t miss it - three nights of FREE concerts at the SXSW Auditorium Shores Stage on Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin. The stage will have a variety of food and beverages, arts and craft vendors and free music with Austin’s magnificent skyline as the backdrop. Is there a better way to spend a beautiful March evening?

Shuttle service between the Austin Convention Center at 2nd and Trinity and Auditorium Shores will run Thursday and Friday from 6pm-10pm and Saturday from 3pm-11pm. The Auditorium Shores Shuttle is free for badge holders.

Handicap parking is available at the Long Center and Handicap Seating is available at front of house.

Absolutely no food*, drink*, coolers, pets*, glass, beach umbrellas, tents or weapons allowed on premises of Auditorium Shores. Personal umbrellas are allowed. *Exceptions: food and beverage items made only for consumption by children under 5 years of age is permitted. Guide animals and wheelchairs are permitted.

REGISTRANTS HOSPITALITY AREA

At Auditorium Shores, SXSW Music and Platinum badge holders can show their credentials for admission to the private Registrant Hospitality Area. Bleacher seating and complimentary beverages will be available to registrants in the Registrant Hospitality Area.

HOW TO GET THERE

FREE Bicycle Valet Service
Pedal your way to Auditorium Shores and leave your wheels safe-and-secure at Bicycle Sport Shop's complimentary bicycle valet parking. (A $1 voluntary donation will be requested for the Texas Bicycle Coalition.)

Park & Ride Park and Ride from the State Garages on CapMetro – Both pay-to-park, and free parking, are available at the State Garages (on San Jacinto near the Capitol) after 6PM on weeknights. CapMetro routes will run every 10-30 minutes until midnight on concert nights and the fare is $1 each way (or $2 for a 24-hour pass).

  • CapMetro #7: Board at San Jacinto & 12th and get off at Barton Springs & Congress
  • CapMetro #10: Board at San Jacinto & 11th and get off at South First street & Riverside

Park & Walk from Nearby Lots

More than 2,000 parking spaces are available within a few blocks of Auditorium Shores. This parking is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Do not park in the residential neighborhoods -- you will be towed.

City Hall Garage (Cesar Chavez & Guadalupe): 6:00-10:00pm ($5) Palmer Center Garage (Riverside & South First): 6:00-10:00pm ($10)
Hyatt Regency (208 Barton Springs Rd): 5:00-10:00pm ($3/hour)
Embassy Suites Hotel (300 S. Congress): 5:00–10:00pm ($8)

All garages available for parking at 11:00am Saturday.

Park & Jog from Zilker Park or Austin High School

Stretch your legs with a brisk jog from the Zilker Park soccer field lots (under the MoPac Bridge) or the Austin High School parking lot (on West Cesar Chavez) to Auditorium Shores. It will be dark on your return trip so please carry a flashlight for the late jog back to your vehicle.
